Water Quality Testing Site #23

This is a site created and used by Center Middle School. There is a ramp and rope so the students may easily and safely access the creek. Though it is tucked in the woods and gives a good sense of nature, the site is also not too far from a largely commercial area, so students are likely to see large amounts of algae on the rocks, litter and sometimes notice a musky smell coming from the creek.

After there are several entries for a site, observing and predicting changes is a great learning activitiy. Observing, documenting and predicting environmental change is a cornerstone of environmental protection.
