This site is near the Trailside Center, just off the walking and biking trail that runs from 99^th & Holmes to Watt’s Mill.  The land surrounding it consists of a mixture of commercial buildings, homes and woods.  There’s a dirt path that leads down to the creek.  A few bits of litter may be found in the area and the creek sometimes has a musky smell.  There are also noticeable suds floating downstream.  Geese are likely to be seen here, as well as an occasional heron or two.

After there are several entries for a site, observing and predicting changes is a great learning activitiy. Observing, documenting and predicting environmental change is a cornerstone of environmental protection.
