Community Programs
You can improve the Blue River Watershed!
BRWA partners with area municipalities, agencies
and other non-profit organizations to offer programs to the community on ways that each of us can reduce water
pollution in our watershed. We are working to expand the reach of our community programs by partnering with
homes associations, civic organizations and local businesses to offer opportunities to Kansas Citians to become
involved in watershed improvement efforts. To learn more about our community programs and how you can reduce

Fall 2006 Indian Creek Streambank Restoration Project,
a community volunteer project sponsored by BRWA, HSBC and the City of Overland Park.
The restoration is located along Indian Creek on the north side of 103rd and Metcalf.
HSBC employees volunteered to assist with planting native plants to stabilize the streambank,
and also learned about water quality monitoring from BRWA.
