Do you have what it takes to join the oldest water education K-12 non-profit in the Kansas City Metropolitan?
Since its founding in 1997, Blue River Watershed Association (BRWA) organization has become recognized as the premier leader in restoring watersheds through education, community outreach, partnerships, and collaborations throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan. We invite you to become a part of this growing tradition. The next five years promise to be an exciting one for BRWA!. The organization is growing in its financial and staff resources to impact K-12 youth in the Kansas City Metropolitan. With a new website (June 6, 2016 – www.brwa.net), and rebranding, BRWA continues to have high community visibility and a positive impact on the communities we serve.
A primary responsibility of the board directors is to lead and participate in strategic planning, organizational management, fundraising, development of policy, and major decision-making. Attend monthly board meetings held at least ten (10) times a year,, participate in a minimum of one standing committee, be active in supporting financial initiatives, and advocate for the organization. Board of Director Members serve a three year term with the possibly of serving a max of two, three-year terms.

BRWA Board of Director meetings are open meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month starting at 4:30 pm and ending promptly at 6:30 pm. We encourage you to attend a meeting to meet the board and staff, as well as get a first hand experience of a board meeting.
